The rules for using STiDY, in plain language.
Last updated 3 July 2026
1. What STiDY is
STiDY is an open-source study workspace: subjects, grades, resources, flashcards, focus timers, coworking rooms and an AI study assistant, in one place. It is offered free of charge, as-is, while in active development.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. You must be old enough to hold an account under the laws of your country (16 in most of the EU).
You can stop using STiDY at any time. To have your account and its data deleted, contact us and we will remove it.
3. Your content
Notes, files, grades and anything else you upload stay yours. You give STiDY only the technical permission needed to store your content and show it back to you — including passing relevant excerpts to AI providers when you ask for AI features like exam generation or the assistant.
Don't upload content you have no right to share, and don't use STiDY to distribute copyrighted course material beyond what your institution permits.
4. Acceptable use
Don't attack, overload or reverse the service against its security measures; don't harass other users in coworking rooms; don't use the AI features to produce work you then present as your own where that violates your institution's academic-integrity rules.
5. AI features
AI answers are generated by third-party language models and can be wrong. Always verify AI-generated study material, grades math and solver steps before relying on them in an exam or submission. AI output is provided for study support only.
6. No warranty
STiDY is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep your data safe and the service available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service or zero data loss — keep your own copies of anything critical.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use STiDY after a change means you accept the updated terms.
